Ythan Riding Club's spring showing show gets the season off to a busy start

YTHAN Riding Club held their Spring Showing Show at The Cabin Equestrian, Keithall, Inverurie, getting the 2026 showing season off to a successful start.

Over 100 horses and ponies were entered on a cold, sunny but blustery day and the weather did not dampen anyone's spirits.

Supreme Champion of the show was Holly Webster with Greenferns Kelman, whilst Reserve Supreme went to Samantha Winn and Curious George.

Chairman of Ythan Riding Club, Hannah Noble, said: "We were completely blown away with the support the equestrian community showed our spring show.

"We wanted to create a welcoming environment with everyone feeling they can come and compete.

"And we hope anyone who attends that and any of our events and training feels this."

Organised by Vicky Lord, the spring show is the first of Ythan's showing events - in August they will hold their summer showing show at the New Deer showground where a wider range of classes will be available, including working hunter.
