British Dressage Scotland championships helpers wanted at Highfield at Howe

THE British Dressage Scottish Championships take place at Highfield Equestrian at Howe from 12th to 14th June.

Organisers are looking for helpers to assist with writing, scoring, stewarding and as general helpers.

Training is provided so no experience is necessary and a volunteer form can be found at BD https://www.britishdressage.co.uk and search for Scottish Region.

Flexi training competion

BD are running a Flexi Training competition in association with Harbro until 31st October this year where anyone who takes part in training sessions with a BD coach can record their training on horsemonkey.com

Just search for 'Flexi Scotland' on HorseMonkey to find the monthly training link and log your sessions, this is for sessions organised directly with your coach - they do not have to have been booked through BD Scotland.

There is also a full list of BD coaches on the link on the British Dressage website.

The winner - who has the highest number of recorded sessions from April to September - will receive a £50 Harbro voucher, a Harbro gilet and hat, notepad, cup and bag.

The logging of training sessions with BD coaches helps BD Scotland to build a picture of training actitivies and can be used towards team selection.

Team Scotland at Sparsholt cancelled due to Equine Flu

THREE Scottish riders were selected to travel to Sparsholt, Hampshire, to represent Scotland in the Senior Inter Regionals on 23rd and 24th May - but it has been cancelled.

Rhoda McVey and Trimragh Jacob III at Prelim level, Caroline Wilson with Gortskeagh Amy and Liz Daniels and Dunbog Justification at Novice and Liz with Splash And Dash at Elementary were due to represent the region.

Unfortunately the event at Sparsholt has been cancelled due to concerns over Equine Flu.

Demo at Bogenraith Equestrian

A DEMO on 'Understanding the Way of Going Through the Levels' will be taken by List 1 judge and BD coach Gillian Peters on 24th July at Bogenraith Equestrian.

There will be demo riders are various levels taking part. Gillian will discuss the way of going, marking and training techniques which can help to improve horses and riders.
